Circle Designs for Eye-Catching Scrapbook Layouts | Karlla Dauer

Looking for a creative way to add movement and dimension to your scrapbook layouts? A circular composition is a simple yet eye-catching technique that naturally draws attention to your photos while creating a balanced design. By combining layered embellishments, colorful die cuts, and overlapping photos, you can build a page that feels playful, and full of personality.

For this project, I used the beautiful "Fresh Start Collection", which was perfect for creating a cheerful and layered scrapbook layout with its vibrant colors, playful embellishments, and versatile designs.

Step by Step Instructions:

1. For the background, use heart-shaped paper.
2. Cut a piece of white cardstock 11x11" and glue it onto the heart-shaped background.
3. Make a seam along the edge of the cardstock.
4. Using the paper with circles, cut out 10x10"
5. Cut a circle in the center of the paper about 7" in diameter (I used a dessert plate to mark it).
6. Place it on the white cardstock with foam tape.
7. Add the two photos with different heights of foam tape.
8. To the center of the circle, on the white cardstock, add the mix of embellishments. Puffy Stickers, Rub-ons, and Chipboard Stickers.
9. To finish, around the photos, arrange the decoration elements and title. You can find them in Ephemera, Floral Ephemera, and Layered Stickers.

TIP: This is also a great design to use up some smaller leftover embellishments, like puffy stickers, enamel shapes, random alpha stickers, and more!
